--Whatever you reward, you'll get more of. Whatever you punish you'll get less of. (This is the #1 rule of all of life, business and economy. Need proof, just observe a mother with a 2-year-old in the grocery store!)
--Work expands to fill the time alotted. (a.k.a. the Last Cookie Principle)
--You do not get what you expect, you get what you inspect. (Most things you inspect will be right, but don't be discouraged or stop, because if you do not inspect it at all, something will be wrong.)
--Many folks today know the cost of everything and the value of nothing!
--Sometimes it's dangerous to pay too little!
--If there isn't time to do it right, when will there be time to do it twice.
--National Warehouse Motto: No aisle is so wide it can not be blocked.
--Sometimes we make things look so easy, customers think anyone can do it.
--The mind, once expanded by a new idea, never returns to its former size.
--The person who does not read is no better off than the person who can not read.
--Effective advertising and marketing materials are inexpensive, but products that don't do the job are expensive at any price. (Smart marketers are looking for all the good advertising they can buy!)
--Proverbs 32:1, Except one tooteth their own horn, by whom shall it be tooted?
--The bitterness of poor product quality or late delivery is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
--Exceed customer expectations the first three times and they will value doing business with you. Then continue to exceed their expectations.
--Whoever rides a tiger can never dismount.
--Satisfied customers are the key to professional sales.
--Make sure to order enough the first time because it's the first one that costs you, the rest of them are free. (That's not quite true, but it's a lot closer than novice print buyers think. To test it, just order a reprint if you come up a little short.) A customer and friend recently repeated this back to me, remembering it from 15 years ago!
