Slawson Missionary Sendoff

Personal and family friends, supporters and prayer partners and other missionaries are invited to an informal, personal send-off for the Slawson Family as they head for the mission field.  Thomas, Cristy and Isaiah will depart North Carolina for the final time the next week.  They fly from Atlanta, Georgia to St. Petersburg, Russia on July 18 to begin language school.

This is a family event without a nursery, so bring everyone you can take care of by yourself.  It will be held in the backyard of the home where Cristy grew up and will be hosted by Cristy's parents, Walt and Pam Atkins and friends.  Thomas, Cristy and Missionary Isaiah will enjoy seeing you starting at 4 PM.  Dinner wil begin at 5 PM.

It is not necessary to bring anything as Pam will be preparing a menu including pulled pork with dinner rolls and buns,  and her famous Texas Sheetcake.  The menu also will feature baked macaroni and cheese, Pam's KC Masterpiece BBQ Baked Beans, shrimp pasta salad, deviled eggs and a pickle tray.  Beverages will include water, raspberry iced tea, raspberry lemonade and IBC root beer.  While it is not necessary to bring anything, if you would like to contribute a favorite dish to the menu, please let Pam know what you would like to bring.  If you like anything else or have special dietary requirements, please bring those with you.  You can reach Pam at home at 336-229-7330 or on her cell at 336-269-1975.
